Kiwanis Indiana District – Habitat For Humanity
René and Sandy attended the Indiana District Mid-Year on March 10th, 2018 on behalf of our Kiwanis Club of Indy-It’s 5o’clock Somewhere.
This year at the convention, Kiwanis members got to assist in a Habitat for Humanity Build. There were two sign up times for this event. René and Sandy took Crew 1 from 7 to 9 am. Each crew was divided into 5 groups consisting of about 10 to 12 people. They all worked together, no matter what their skill set was, to help build a house for a mother and her 5-year daughter – Kisha and Khole. It was really cold but well worth it! Working together, meeting other Kiwanians, and helping a family in our community. It doesn’t get any better than this!

Our Service Project…
Once again, our club members have been going into action at B.A.B.E. as a follow up to our original service project.
Only this time…the diapers were really stacking up! But nothing would stop our gang of Pamper Packers!!!
We have been gathering a few times now at B.A.B.E. to pack up those diapers….and even though they seem to be stacked against us…we prevailed every time! LOL
This program is such a valuable one and a great project for our club! We love that we are able to help them out and hope to continue doing this for them on a regular basis,
